Judith Cross. Bachelor of Arts, B. Soc. Admin.
Judith has 22 years’ experience as a Chief Executive Officer in the not for profit sector and has been working in community services and health for over 38 years. She is currently CEO of Relationships Australia (South Australia) and has extensive experience in the community services and health sectors, including the development of policy and services in relation to community health, domestic violence, child and family services and disability services.
Judith has served on state and national boards, including being a member of the Premier’s Council for Women for six years, Board Member of Family Relationship Services Australia, Deputy Chair of Relationships Australia National, and is currently on the Gambling Advisory Committee to the Minister for Communities and Social Inclusion. From 2004 to 2008 Judith was also the social work advisor to the Children in State Care Commission of Inquiry by former Supreme Court Justice, Commissioner Ted Mulligan into the sexual abuse of state wards and children living on the APY Lands. In 2003 Judith was awarded a Centenary Medal by the Commonwealth in recognition of her contribution to community services. As a person living with a disability, Judith is interested in ensuring that people with disabilities have rich and fulfilling opportunities in their lives. She sees housing as a key ingredient to independence and participation and has been a member of the Board of Access 2 Place Housing since May 2015.
